Georgia Special Needs Scholarship

Georgia Special Needs (SB 10) Scholarships

Aurora Day School is currently accepting student transfers.

 

Student Transfer Information

If  you wish to transfer your student who is currently receiving the GA Special Needs Scholarship, the process is as follows:

1. Call Aurora Day School at 404-377-8882 to schedule a tour and meet the director to determine if Aurora is the right school for your child. 
2. Fill out an application for enrollment and schedule a family interview where your child will tour Aurora, meet the teachers, staff and director.
(Bring current IEP and Psychoeducational Evaluation with you during the family interview.  After your child meets with the director and staff, parents will spend time talking with the director while your child spends time with one of our teachers.)
    
After acceptance at Aurora Day School, you will need to:

1. Provide Aurora Day School with your GA Special Needs Scholarship award letter. 
2. Complete and return the Aurora Day School enrollment forms.
3. Pick up school supply list.
4. Pay deposit and current quarter's tuition.
5. Withdraw from current private school and start school at Aurora Day School.

NEW Student Information for 2010/2011 School Year

If  you wish to enroll your student who will be new to receiving the GA Special Needs Scholarship you will need to:

1. Call Aurora Day School at 404-377-8882 to schedule a tour and meet the director to determine if Aurora is the right school for your child. 
2. Fill out an application for enrollment and schedule a family interview where your child will tour Aurora, meet the teachers, staff and director.
(Bring current IEP and Psychoeducational Evaluation with you during the family interview.  After your child meets with the director and staff, parents will spend time talking with the director while your child spends time with one of our teachers.)
    
After acceptance at Aurora Day School, you will need to:

1. Complete the Parent Intent to Participate Form on the GA Department of Education website.
2. Determine and print two copies of your student's Scholarship Eligibilty and Award Amount using the Eligibility/Award Calculator. 
**This is not yet available for the 2010/2011 School Year.** 
3. Provide Aurora Day School with your GA Special Needs Scholarship award letter, you will want to keep the second copy for your records.        
4. Complete and return the Aurora Day School enrollment forms.
5. Pick up school supply list.
6. Pay deposit
7. Pay 1st Quarter tuition by July 15, 2010 or with deposit if enrolling after July 15, 2010.
8. Withdraw from current public school.
